From Death to Life! (Or Born from Above)

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears MY word (not Paul's or anyone else's), and believes Him who sent me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."

(John 5:24)

"Joshua said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who puts their faith in ME (not 'the bible' or the unknown God) will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and places their faith in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

(John 11:25-26)

How does a person pass from death into life?

By believing God exists?  NO!  Most people of all religious labels believe God exists, but that is the merest intellectual belief.

By believing stuff about the bible?  NO!

By believing in the god of the bible, which god is a schizophrenic being waffling between wrath, vengeance, and blood thirstiness most of the time and love, compassion and mercy some little of the time?  NO!

By believing in a god of your religion's making?  NO!

By believing in Christianity's 'christ', an ever-changing talisman which gives people what they want but never delivers Life?  NO!

By believing some of Jesus' sayings, which saying fit into your theology?  NO!

In the sayings above, obviously Joshua was talking to living people when he made that statement so he was not talking about physical life - please read the teaching in context to confirm this. He gives the answer plainly.  One passes from spiritual death (a person with a dead spirit), to spiritual life (one's spirit made alive) by hearing HIS word (NOT 'the bible'!) and believing what Joshua says.  This is the only sure way to avoid condemning one's self through a life lived in bondage to self-pride, fear and selfishness - and instead entering into an existence of Life!  Only by receiving the words of the One who said, "I am the Life", does a person move from death to Life.  Christian religion and Christianity's christ deliver nothing but confusion, falsehood and death.

The True Light provides another view of the same event...the event of a person passing from death to life, in these sayings:

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again (from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God...I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

(John 3:3, 5)

These two sayings have the same thing in view...a human being passing from an existence with a dead spirit - a spirit that died at some point after childhood - to an existence with a living spirit, a reborn spirit - that is with the ability to know, commune with, and love God as Joshua reveals Him (NOT 'the bible'!).

Each human being must pass through a second birth experience if they are to enter Life.  The first is the natural or flesh birth which all people experience and which birth is universally marked by the breaking of the water of the woman giving birth.  The second is the spiritual birth where a person's dead spirit is made alive by the Father's Spirit...the living water Joshua refers to (John 4:10).  Joshua uses simple and universally known concepts and imagery to convey important truths.  In this case he used the natural birth experience.

A baby in her/her mother's womb is essentially asleep - completely unaware of life outside the womb.  It is in a dark, virtually silent place, asleep, being fed and provided oxygen without any effort of his/her own.  It is in a state of existence that, while real and true, is very different than life outside the womb.  When the baby is born, he/she enters into a whole new realm of existence.  Sound and sight and taste and smell are now actively used to understand he/her new realm.  He/she must now choose to eat food and drink water to sustain the body.  He/she now uses their metaphysical components to navigate the new realm.  The heart is used to make choices about what to think and how to behave.  The soul is used to express emotions associated with thoughts and experiences.  The mind is used to understand the new realm, both physical and metaphysical components of the new realm outside the womb.

The same is true of the new spiritual birth.  A person moves from one realm of existence to another - from no faith at all or faith in the wrong thing(s) (analogous to being in the womb) to new faith or faith in the right Person (analogous to being out of the womb).  Just like a baby in the womb, the person who has reached adulthood - but has not been born again or born from above - exists in a spiritual realm of darkness where the use of their heart, soul and mind are broken, inoperable, dysfunctional or misguided.  They live in spiritual darkness with the manifestations of hopelessness, unforgiveness, despair, depression, lovelessness, internal pain or suffering, lost-ness, confusion, etc.  As Joshua says, "I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life"; those who don't follow him DO walk in the darkness.  The person whose spirit has not been made alive by the new birth is ruled by a dark nature of self-pride and fear and selfishness...they exist to protect their life in the world at all costs.  They are spiritually asleep in the darkness just like the baby in the womb.

The person who has been born from above or again, in contrast, has 'come out' of the darkness of the 'womb' and has entered into a new realm...they did what was required to be free from self-pride and fear and selfishness.  They saw their guilt and hopelessness, and transferred their faith from all the other things they had their faith in (self, money, material possessions, businesses, education, career, etc.) and put all their faith in The Light of the World, Joshua of Nazareth...they now love and value him and the Father he reveals, more than anything else in their life.

They now have a new understanding of life and now live to help others be re-born.  They have left the darkness and have come into the Light.  They are not despairing or depressed or loveless or hopeless or lost or confused about basic life matters and life in this world.  In short, they have had their spirit made alive due to their seeing their need to get out of the darkness, and have placed their faith in the Light of the world to remove them from the darkness of this world and its ways.  They have become a new person with a different life perspective and a new understanding of how to live the new Life they have been given through the faith they have in Joshua.  They have new and meaningful purpose in their life which energizes them and motivates them to bring their newfound Father and Master to others.

If a person has not experienced these things - if they are not born from above - then "they cannot enter the kingdom of God".

One experiences these things by first seeing their need to be made alive.  In other words, a person must see or sense at some level that they are living a life of spiritual death...a life not knowing or caring about what is right or wrong, true or false...a life of ignoring their Father and His Messenger and Leader...a life of living by their pride, fear and selfishness and all the wrong and hurtful things said and done to others as a result...a life of hopelessness regarding death.

Once a person sees that is true of themselves, they will sense great remorse over that wasted, empty, loveless, take-from-others life and turn to the Father to make them alive to a life of caring about what is true and right and living by love.  A person deserving death being offered freely, Life...from being guilty of ignoring the Life and only caring about other people in order to get something from them or outright hurting other people...will be most thankful for the forgiveness offered by the Father....they will be as a flutterby having changed from a caterpillar - a new person!

What are the primary manifestations of passing from death to life...from having one's spirit made alive by God's Spirit and thus entering into an existence of faith in one's heavenly Father and Joshua?  The primary manifestations are a dramatic change in one's life perspective, a new found love for a new found Father as revealed by Joshua, and a desire to know the One's who made me alive...

"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Joshua of Nazareth whom You have sent."

(John 17:3)

How do you get to know God and Joshua His Son?  By reading Joshua's words - NOT anyone else's - as a child would, and believing what he says.  How do you know you are truly believing what he says?  How do you know if you love him?

"If you love me, you will do as I say."

(John 14:15)

The primary manifestation of loving someone in authority over you is to be eager to do what they want.

It is that simple intellectually, and yet difficult to execute.

A Word To Those Exposed to Christian Religion:

I have talked to many over the years, and I often run into people who have been a part of, or have been exposed, to some form of Christian religion.  These people can be the most difficult to reach because they are sure their mere intellectual beliefs about 'christ' equals faith.  They are wrong, horribly wrong.  Even if they are in a state of clear hopelessness or bitterness or bondage to drugs or broken and dysfunctional relationships, etc.; they have been in large measure inoculated AGAISNT the real, historical Joshua of Nazareth by their religious beliefs.

Perhaps the biggest mistake these folks make besides confusing faith with mere beliefs, is the confusion of trying to GET something from God, versus giving THEMSELVES TO God.  When asked if they have actually placed their faith in God, they will often answer, 'Oh, yes, I have begged God, and pleaded with God, and wept before 'the Lord', and beseeched him and...'    If you dig a little deeper behind this kind of response, you will often find they where trying to GET something from God.  Even if you are trying to GET a good thing from God - like healing for someone you care about or a healthy relationship with someone - you are still MISSING THE MARK.  It is not about getting something from God, but rather GIVING YOUR LIFE to God.  This is really hard for people.  Our fear and self-pride and selfishness make the proposition of literally giving control over my life to someone else very unappealing.  So, instead of giving their lives to God, they often instead commit to a religious organization and start doing religious things.  This is far easier than giving our life to God - we can remain bound by fear and self-pride and selfishness and not change anything significant about our selves while we play the religious game within a religious organization.

So, I urge those who can see well enough that your religion has not solved any of your deeper problems; and who can sense their hopelessness or unforgiveness or fear or lovelessness, etc.; that you turn away from all your religious beliefs and instead give your life to the real, historical Joshua of Nazareth.  If you do that, you will leave the darkness and enter into his Life!

Please, enter into his Life and come, join the Peaceful Revolution!
