The Beginning of the New Life

If you have seen how fear and pride and selfishness control you and have acknowledged how you have ignored your Father, ignored His Light and hurt others; and if, as a result, you have cried out to your Father and the Light to forgive you and free you from your self-made darkness; then you are likely a newly born person...your spirit coming alive to a reality you have not known and a Father and Leader you have not believed existed.

You now have some very important things to do.

First, you need to start reading the words of the Light of the world YOURSELF so that you can listen to and understand what he wants. If you have entered into faith in him and thus his Life, then you will be eager to get to know him and thirsty to understand what he wants of you. You can read his words in any bible, but I would recommend the NIV or the NASB versions, because they both strive to convey what was originally written and don't use archaic English like the King James version. I have written a book that can help you in that regard. The books purpose is to focus only on the Light of the world and his words and sayings, and to try and clean off some of the 'dirt' so-to-speak, placed over the Light by bible and christian religious concepts. You can get the book here - the core of the book is the account of Joshua's life and words in the four books people call the gospels, using the NASB translation.  In sum, don't read anything in the bible except Jesus/Joshua's words in the four little books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  I recommend you read John first.  Again, I highly recommend the book to avoid all the bible confusion out there.

Second, when reading his words, you need to focus on Joshua's commands. When he "commands" something, it means it must be done and is a top priority. He asks us and directs us and teaches us to do a number of things, but when he uses the term "command" we need to do it and if we don't, then we are failing badly. He confirms that the first and greatest commandment is for you to love your new found Father with all that is in you. He also confirms that the second command is for us to love those around us - our neighbors - like we love ourselves. Both of those commands were previously given and known by the Jews at that time and Joshua acknowledged and affirmed them.

However, there was only one teaching for which he used the term "command" in order to convey it to his followers, and he called it "new". The New Command for his followers is this:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

What does this mean?  Well, like most of the things he said, it means what it says.  So, it comes down to what does "love" mean? The key components of love that Joshua himself teaches are...

  • Caring for one another, just like ACTUAL siblings (brothers and sisters) who care about each other;
  • Sharing with one another, just like siblings who have the same good dad who provides what they need and expects them to share;
  • Appreciating one another, just like people who are working on something really important and difficult really appreciate each others contribution;
  • Being committed to one another - just like a person who has tried to do something both important and difficult by themselves and did poorly, but then had it made easier by having another person help - will commit to help each other;
  • Wanting to be with one another and share life, just like people who actually love each other!

What does living this life look like? I can assure you, it looks NOTHING like Western style church-ianity or meeting-anity for if you are honest with yourself, you will admit and acknowledge that people involved in bible or christian religion do not live like that. What it looks like is what it says...people sharing each others lives on a daily basis just like a healthy functional extended natural family who is tightly unified in its purpose, work and experiences, and closely bound by love for one another.  Here is another way he said it...

"Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You.”  Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are  first will be last, and the last, first.”

And so, the second most important thing you must do as a new follower of Joshua is to find other follower's of Joshua and go help them...this is the beginning of starting to practice the love he speaks of and doing the work all followers are called to, which is to bring his person, teachings and leadership to others.

This will very likely require you leave your present circumstances or living place or situation in order to start sharing your new Life with others who have made the same faith commitment to Joshua of Nazareth.  This is required and not optional, but it will happen naturally if you are speaking the Light's truths.  If we are not seeking to live out the new command, then we have no basis to say we are his followers or that we have faith in him. Please don't deceive yourself in this regard, especially by remaining in natural or religious circumstances with christians.  The new command requires that we help each other in daily life, and this requires we be together... why wouldn't we want that?  Isn't that what love does?

WARNING: Do NOT get involved with christians or their religious organizations, for this will prevent you from following Joshua and doing what he says. Most christians are kind and well intentioned people, but they are badly deceived and if you follow the blind, you will also be blind and fall into the same pit the christians and biblians are stuck in...which pit is lovelessness and lostness.  See the counterfeit.

If you recall, Joshua says that following him will be difficult. A big part of that difficulty is learning to trust him and what he says even when other people say you are wrong...especially when people who claim to represent him (christian leaders) say you are wrong. The truth is you will find yourself alone for some period of time, for you must first come out of what he calls the world. Please listen to him...

"If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you."

Remember, if others are listening, you don't have to be alone...groups of people of true love can be made, found, experienced. However, you need to get some experience with the world in order to appreciate other followers and to see your need. All you need to do is believe, live by and proclaim Joshua's words to those around you and whom you encounter...words like...

"Love your enemies."

The Other Side of the Coin: This does NOT MEAN you can kill others some government says are their enemy or whom you fear - nor can you support others who do, nor can you stay silent when others speak about it...

"Those who keep their life will lose it; while those who lose their life for my sake, shall find Life."

The Other Side of the Coin: This does NOT MEAN you can continue living like everybody else around you...bound by pride, fear and selfishness... living for money or the material things or perceived security it buys...

"You cannot serve two masters...you cannot serve both God and money."

The Other Side of the Coin: This does NOT MEAN you can continue working for money and not working for the Light...this does NOT mean you can continue spending 40 hours a week or more working for the world and for the food which perishes...

"Who are my mother and brothers and sisters?"

The Other Side of the Coin: This does NOT MEAN you can continue to be a part of a natural family whose members are not agreeing with the Light nor doing what he says...so many are self deceived on this important matter, and reject Joshua for their natural family...

"Unless you forsake all the world considers valuable, you cannot be my follower."

The Other Side of the Coin: This does NOT MEAN you can continue living for the things the vast majority of the people of the world are living for like money or entertainment or careers or education or sports or hobbies or exercise or retirement or travel/vacations or an 'alternative life style' for that lifestyles sake, or for one's children or parents or boyfriend or girlfriend or spouse, or for one's participation in a religious group, or the dozens of other things people have to motivate them to get out of bed in the morning.

Diligently check out and study the Light's teachings for yourself - this is the beginning of the Journey. Don't make the mistake of listening to other people tell you what they think Joshua wants or what they think he says...this is THE ERROR of those who will be led astray.  If you don't make Joshua your Master, he cannot be your "lord".

You will know other disciples or followers by the fact that they will be living for him and him alone; he and his Father will be what they love with all their heart, soul, mind and strength; and they will be doing his work; and they will provide quotes of Joshua's teachings when making important points about Life or following him. And when YOU get to know him well yourself, you will easily be able to recognize those who understand his Person and teachings from those who do not.

The New Command is in front of you...what are you going to do with it? Please don't deceive yourself and thus contribute to the lovelessness.  Instead, contact us, start living the peaceful revolution, and find truth and love and Life!
